Description |
Charles W. Arnold House, 25 Westland Terrace, Haverhill. Built 1895. Brick, four stories including basement, hip roof, dormers, small porch or covered patio, balconies on the first and second floors in the rear, widow's walk. View of the right side; the front of the house had a large arched window, porte cochere and portico. The lawn is graded, with stone steps leading to the right side of the house. Charles W. Arnold was a Haverhill cut sole manufacturer. The house was designed by J. Williams Beal of Boston. Torn down in 1973. Stables in the background, brick, two stories, hip roof, dormers, large fanlight over the entrance, portico with pediment, cupola with tall weathervane. Inscription on cardboard insert: "West view."
