Bradford Academy campus in the latter half of the 19th century, featuring the original 1803 building, the 1841 building called "New Hall," and boarding house. The first Academy building, on the left, built in 1803, a single-story building with a two-story bell tower at the entrance. The second Academy building is to the right of the first, built in 1841, a large stone building with a gable roof, cupola, and Greek-style columns framing the main entrance. The boarding house, Acacia Hall, is at the right edge of the illustration, along the street in front of the Academy buildings. It is a three-story building with a hip roof. Illustration undated. |
