Photomechanical print of a photograph from the Haverhill Gazette, November 13, 1928.The engine is facing right in front of an unidentified building, possibly the Rocks Village Fire Station. Printed headline and caption: "Protector Hand Tub Bought by Henry Ford / Old Hand Tub at Rock's Village Bought by Henry Ford will be sent to Dearborn, Mich." The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn was collecting American inventions and machinery at the time, and Ford purchased several historic buildings and mill items from Haverhill.
