Abigail Carleton Hasseltine, photograph of a postcard of a painting, ca. 1853. She was Preceptress of Bradford Academy from 1815-1853. Inscription with print in file: "Abigail Carleton Haseltine [sic?] 1788 - 1868 ... Portrait painted when she retired age 65, commissioned by Trustees of Bradford / Original at Bradford / Artist may be same as Benj. Greenleaf's; 'by a Boston artist'." She has dark hair and light eyes. She is seated, three-quarter view facing left, and she is wearing a white bonnet and a dark dress with a white collar, which is fastened with a brooch.
