Description |
Fireman's Monument, Hilldale Cemetery, Haverhill, when located at there. Dedicated May 30, 1889. Designed by Calvin H. Weeks; carved at Cararra, Italy. Weeks was also Mayor of Haverhill in 1884. Fireman holding a hose, in "fire laddie" position with his feet holding the hose in place. Dedication inscription on plaque, with "H. F. D." at bottom. View of front and right sides. Later moved to Linwood Cemetery. Inscription on housing: "Fireman's Monument Haverhill Mass 1889 # 68." Photographer may be W. Orin Tasker. |
