Description |
Kendall Tavern building, Winter Street, Haverhill. Wooden house, three stories, view of left and front sides. Pickard's Ice Cream occupying the bottom level. Sign "Pickard's Cosy Corner" and house number 20. Pickard offered a soda fountain and bakery in addition to ice cream. Operated by Ben T. Pickard until the 1950s. On the right is a billiards room, newsagent and tobacco store with sign "Waiting Station", and on the far right a grocer, Tabor's Market. Trolley tracks in the street. Number written on tape on reverse: 68. From a series of lantern slides, box dated 1933, image probably late 19th or early 20th century. |
