Description |
Horatio Pearl House, 259 South Main Street, Bradford, Haverhill. Built 1836. Three stories, clapboard, gable roof. Sign in lower right window: "This Property Purchased by Bradford Library Ass'n as a Site for a Branch Library." Built as a double house by Isaac Morse in 1836. Other residents were Samuel F. Merrill (left side, 1837), William Hall (right side, 1837), and Aaron P. Heath (left side, 1842). The Pearls bought the house in 1850 and occupied the whole house, descendants living there until 1934, when acquired by Library. View of front and right sides. Brick foundation, piles of brick next to the right side of the house. Other houses in the background. A woman in a coat and hat passing by on the left.
