Description |
Charles W. Arnold House, stables, main house at 25 Westland Terrace, Haverhill. Two stories, brick, hip roof, dormers, large fanlight over the entrance; portico with pediment, cupola with tall weathervane. Snow on the ground. View of front and right sides. Charles W. Arnold was a Haverhill cut sole manufacturer. The main house was designed by J. Williams Beal of Boston; probably this building as well. Inscription on verso of print insert: "Carriage house - section on right was an apartment for coachman/chauffeur. Claude Arnold lived in it for some time." Torn down in 1973.
