The Sylvanus Porter Gardner House is on the left, other houses on the right and in the background. Built in 1887-88 for Sylvanus Porter Gardner, shoe manufacturer, by Wheeler & Northend of Lynn. View of left and front sides. This ornate three story Highlands Queen Anne mansion has a cross gabled hip roof, turret with bell roof, decorative shingle patterns, porticos on front and right sides. Image late 19th or early 20th century. |
