Officer's Mess tent and Mess Hall, 8th Regiment, Infantry, Company F, Fall Field Day, Camp Dewey, South Framingham, 1897. Two photos, different sizes, mounted on each side of cardboard 26 x 29 cm. 1. Officer's Mess tent, long tables interspersed with tent poles under pale tent canvas. The tables have tablecloths and some dishes; the tent is empty. Inscribed caption: "Officer's Mess / 8th Regt. M.V.M. Fall Field Day - So. Framingham - 1897 or earlier." 15 x 20 cm. 2. Mess Hall, Camp Dewey. Two soldiers in grassy field in the foreground, Mess hall in the background, one story building with pavilion in front. Large flagpole on the right with flag.
