Horatio Pearl House, 259 South Main Street, Bradford, Haverhill. Three stories, clapboard, gable roof. View of front and right sides. Brick foundation, piles of brick next to the right side of the house. Other houses in the background. Pencil number on emulsion side of negative: "HL2 85b"? Built as a double house by Isaac Morse in 1836. Other residents were Samuel F. Merrill (left side, 1837), William Hall (right side, 1837), and Aaron P. Heath (left side, 1842). The Pearls bought the house in 1850 and occupied the whole house. Acquired by Bradford Branch Library 1934. Image probably early 20th century, possibly circa 1934. See print HA1 Senter HPH 50-699F. |
