Boyd B. Jones. Studio portrait, head and shoulders, facing three-quarter right. He has dark hair and is wearing glasses, a suit, shirt and tie. Printed caption below: "United States District Attorney Boyd B. Jones. Who will conduct the case for the government against Charles H. Cole." Boyd was a Haverhill resident and was United States District Attorney for the state of Massachusetts 1897-1901. Cole was tried and convicted in 1900 for embezzlement from the Globe National Bank of Boston. Albumen print copy of a photomechanical reproduction from an unidentified publication, probably circa 1900. Photo is 15 x 11 cm mounted on cardboard 36 x 26 cm. |
