Description |
Horatio Pearl House, 259 South Main Street, Bradford, Haverhill. Three stories, clapboard, gable roof, dark shutters. Built as a double house by Isaac Morse in 1836. Other residents were Samuel F. Merrill (left side, 1837), William Hall (right side, 1837), and Aaron P. Heath (left side, 1842). The Pearls bought the house in 1850 and occupied the whole house. Acquired as Bradford Branch Library in 1934. Inscription on verso: "This is the home of Anna M. Pearl at 259 South Main St. Bradford Mass - June 1920." A duplicate is inscribed as being taken in 1915. Photo is 13 x 18 cm mounted on cardboard 19 x 26 cm. |
