Ancient Order of Hibernians Parade, unidentified man as parade marshal on the left with top hat, sash and staff; police officers in uniform, marching band with instruments, ceremonial plumed hats and sashes with crosses; crowd in the streets and on the sidewalks. St. James Church on the right, Primrose Street to the left of the Church. The front ranks are on Winter Street; the parade was on Primrose Street, a main road through the Acre, the largely Irish neighborhood. Signs and storefronts legible, left to right: Wood & Coal; [?] Hall; [?] Power & Son; James Moriarty (tailor). Image circa 1900. |
