George and David P. Harmon House, 86 Summer Street, Haverhill. Identified in this image as the "David Harmon House"; other photos of this house are identified as the "George Harmon House," "Dr. Clement House" and "George A. Kimball House." Three stories, entrance on the left side when facing the house, clapboard, gable roof, porch on front and right sides with vines growing on the pillars. The is the view from what is probably Maple Avenue. Low wall with balustrade near the sidewalk. A carriage house that may belong to the property is on the right, a man is kneeling on the left side. Other houses in the background. David P. Harmon built the house; he sheltered enslaved people here as a stop on the Underground Railway. Photo by Austin P. Nichols, May 1891.
