Haverhill 325th Anniversary Parade, June 27th, 1965, Haverhill, Mass. Haverhill New Car Dealers association float, three sections, decorated in red, pink, white, green and blue. The last two sections are circular platforms. The rear section is red, and has a large wooden wheel and a sign "Wheel," a shirtless man seated next to it. The middle section is pink, with two girls seated in a small carriage pulled by merry-go-round horses, and signs reading "Horse & Carriage" and "Methods Have Helped Make the Difference." The front section is carrying two women in a blue convertible sedan, with a sign reading "Haverhill New Car Dealers Assn." The people are not identified. Location is Mill Street. House and trees in the background, spectators standing and seated on the sides of the road. Date on slide: Jun 65, number 23. |
