Printed caption: "A view of the Second Meeting House / Erected in Haverhill in 1688 / Site The Common." Another source indicates it was built in 1699. Illustration signed and dated by "F. W. West, '95" [1895]. Inscription with print in file: "Taken from wood engraving in Chase's 'History of Haverhill' which was in turn based upon the fireplace panel mural originally in Harrod's Tavern, subsequently owned by Chas.
