Description |
Haverhill Fire Department, chief's car, Country Bridge, Haverhill. The car is facing left on the Country Bridge in East Parish. Two firefighters in uniform are driving and in back, other people in street clothes in the front and back. Another person is partly obscured by trees on the right side of the bridge. East Meadow River also known as Country Brook below in the foreground. Probably circa 1910. Inscription on front below image: "Country Bridge by J. H. Spencer Haverhill, Mass." Inscription on verso: "37." There is an inscription on the verso of a similar photo that probably refers to this image: "Chief's car purchased 1910 - Knox model" see HH11.2.1 SentrHPH 30-404D, same mount style and similar inscription on mount. Full call number is HH11.2.1 Senter HPH 30-404E. Photo is 13 x 18 cm mounted on cardboard 21 x 26 cm. |
