House, possibly the Nealley-Hoyt House, 486 South Main Street, Bradford, Haverhill. A brick fireplace with a Greek key design around the edge and a shallow shelf below the mantel is set between two doors, the narrow door on the left with curtains. A glass door to the porch is on the left wall next to a window. Two chairs and a table are visible. An oval framed painting is above the mantel. Floral design wallpaper. A framed portrait of Abraham Lincoln is on the left. Inscription on verso: "This looks like the Geo Nealey House 486 So Main St. / (possibly 217) later." The inkstamp of photographer W[alter]. P[eabody]. Johnson of Bradford, Haverhill, is above the inscription. Photo is 20 x 25 cm mounted on cardboard 26 x 36 cm, trimmed at top edge. |
