Deed, purchase of land called Pentucket [including what is now (NH): Salem, Hampstead, Atkinson & Plaistow and (MA): Methuen, Bradford & Haverhill]. Signed John Ward, Robert Clements, Tristram Coffin, Hugh Sherratt, William White, (sign of) Thomas Davis, (mark of) Passaquo, (mark of) Saggahew. Date near bottom of first paragraph: fifteenth November 1642. Original document dated 1642; Haverhill's first town meeting was in 1643.
