Description |
Haverhill Tercentenary Parade, drum & bugle corps (probably the Michael Bucuzzo Post 2 Italian American War Veterans of Haverhill), Merrimack Street, Haverhill, 1940. The band is wearing dark uniforms with lighter striped trousers and tall dark hats with emblem on the front, and cross-buckled pale straps across their chests. They are playing drums, with the players in back carrying bugles. The corps is marching from left to right. Storefronts visible in background: Choice Fruit; Rosengard's. Spectators on both sides of the street, which is littered with confetti. Inscription on verso: "Photo by John G. Blacklock / Tercentenary Parade - June 29 - Merrimack St. / Bugle Corps 1940." Photo is 20 x 25 cm mounted on cardboard 26 x 36 cm. |
