F. Carleton "Carl" Watson, notable Haverhill photographer. He has dark hair and is wearing a suit, shirt and tie. Haverhill High School 1914 studio portrait, head and shoulders, facing three-quarter left. He has been identified in newspaper articles as F. Carl Watson, Frederick Carleton Watson, F. Carleton Watson, F. C. Watson, and Frank C. Watson. He was a photographer for the Haverhill Sunday Record. His studio opened around 1922 and was later at 47 Merrimack Street in Haverhill. He was an acquaintance of President Warren G. Harding and photographed him numerous times. Inscription on housing: "Carl Watson, photographer." William Watson was later a press photographer for the Haverhill Gazette in Haverhill, carrying on the name. Image early 20th century. |
