Interior, Hawthorn Place, 178 South Main Street, Bradford, Haverhill. Formerly 98 South Main Street. Room with windows at far end, baroque style chairs and table, framed painting on far wall, portraits of two men and one woman, arched door on left. Home of Dr. George Cogswell. Inscription on verso: "Portraits of Dr. Cogswell's parents on wall / Carved grape motif is found in parlor of brick house cr. So. Main & So. Elm. Placed there by Geo. Montgomery Probably same period c. 1850." Original image late 19th or early 20th century. See negative HS1.1 Senter F4x5 13-89. Photo is 12 x 17 cm mounted on cardboard 20 x 25 cm. |
