Dunsmoor, or the William Nelson Kimball House, 285 South Main Street, Bradford, Haverhill. The house on the right is Dunsmoor. Three stories plus cupola, clapboard with quoins, gable roof with dormers, front porch with trellis columns with vines at base, bay window and portico entrance on the right. View of front and right sides. Two story extension in the rear. An unidentified man is sitting in a rocking chair on the porch. Farrar House partly visible on the left, corner of Byron Street. Inscription on verso of a different photo: "Built in 1850 by Wm Nelson Kimball, this house was said to be the finest built structure in Essex County." Formerly the Carleton School. Inscription on verso: "Dunsmoor, 142 Main St Bradford (Built by William N. Kimball, father of William Byron Kimball, Elm St.) / Formerly Carleton School."
