Jaques Block, 67-69 Washington Street, Haverhill. Building has stone plaques "Jaques Block" and "1882." Four stories, brick, flat roof with false front. Alleys on left and right, parked cars. See negative HS3 Senter F8x10 2-79. Published in the Haverhill Evening Gazette August 29, 1945. Printed caption: "Ready for occupancy - the Jaques building, Washington st., saved from building wreckers when the Hamel Realty Co. purchased the Jaques-Potter estate buildings and decided to remodel them for industrial occupancy, is now ready for use. The first floor, extending from Washington to Wingate st., has been leased by the N. J. Daniels Tool Co., Inc., a new industry started by Nelson J. Daniels. Mr. Daniels is now directing the setting up of machinery and expects production to begin from two to three weeks. The front of the Jaques building was remodeled, broken windows repaired and the trimmings painted. Many interior improvements were made." See negative HS3 Senter F8x10 2-79.
