Parade for 8th Regiment, Infantry, Company F, Haverhill, 1898. Crowd in front of City Hall. Men gathered on the steps of City Hall, one is Mayor Daniel S. Chase. The soldiers are mostly obscured, on the right. Some people are watching from City Hall windows. A streetcar is visible on the left, also a commercial carriage with the name "Moulton." Some other horses and carriages are visible in the crowd. Inscription on verso: "Mayor Daniel S. Chase addressing Co. F. 8th Regt. M.V.M. on departure to camp at S. Framingham, May 5 1898." Photo is 13 x 18 cm mounted on card 13 x 18 cm. |
