Ebenezer Carleton, first Master of Merrimack Lodge, painting. Head and shoulders portrait. Carleton has dark hair and is facing three-quarter left. He is wearing a bluish green coat and white shirt, and a masonic symbol. A history of Merrimack Lodge online states the first meeting was held in 1802 at Assembly Hall, on Water Street, Haverhill. The artist is not identified. Probably at the Masonic Temple on Merrimack Street, Haverhill. Inscription on verso: "Portrait of Ebenezer Carleton 1st Master of Merrimac Lodge 1977."
