Hazen-Spiller House, Water & Groveland Streets, Haverhill. Brick garrison; two stories plus attic. Built by Richard Hazen, early 18th century. Spelled "Hazzen" on his gravestone in Pentucket Cemetery. View of front and left sides, partly obscured by trees. Trolley tracks in the street. Inscription below: "Spiller or Hazen House." Inscription on verso: "Spiller or Hazzen Garrison House." Image probably early 20th century. Photo is 12 x 17 cm mounted on thick card 21 x 26 cm with blindstamped printed border. |
