Half length portrait of Lucy Swett Sanders (on the left) and George T. Sanders (on the right). She is wearing a dark patterned dress with while lace pinafore. He is wearing a dark suit with notched lapels, white shirt, and dark tie. His sideburns are long and bushy. Inscription on verso: "Taken in Rochester N.Y. February or March 1895 which accounts for only half of the figure. The gown was worn at Uncle Nat's [Nathaniel Saltonstall Howe Sanders] wedding." Stamped "Margaret Sanders Biery Collection" on verso. |
