182nd Regiment, Infantry, Company A, bayonet drill, Corporal David Wall and Sergeant Harry Banan, at Camp Edwards on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, 1941. The two men are in uniform, coats and hats, in practice combat outside using a rifle with a bayonet. Inscription on verso: "Photo by Homer A. Chase / (Gazette article - Feb. 24, 1941 / Bayonet drill / Left - Corp. David Wall / Right - Sgt. Harry Banan / Co. A. 182nd Infantry at Camp Edwards." Harry Joseph Banan's draft registration card lists his address in 1941 as 65 Pecker Street, Haverhill, his birthday as November 20, 1888, and his profession as WPA musician. Photo is 21 x 16 cm mounted on cardboard 36 x 26 cm. |
