Albert L. Kimball House, 277 South Main Street, Bradford, Haverhill. House built circa 1868. French Empire style. View of front and left sides. Three stories, clapboard, mansard roof with dormers; a half tower in the center with a fourth floor, round windows. Two women and three children are at the portico on the left side, and a man standing next to a horse and carriage is below, probably Albert L. Kimball. Carriage house in the rear. An ornate low fence surrounds the lot. Also known as the Johnson House. Torn down in the 1970s. Typed label on verso: "Home of Alfred N [sic] Kimball, corner Chadwick & Main Streets, Bradford. Alfred Kimball standing by horse. Mrs. Alfred Kimball standing on porch. George, a son, standing in corner of porch and beside him, his brother Herbert. On steps is a daughter. - W. R. Merryman, 1947." Merryman made this photo as an enlargement from original glass negative in 1947.
