Ribbon-cutting, probably the Dairy Queen ice cream restaurant on River Street in Haverhill. The building is one story with a shingle roof and a drive-through window on the left. Seven people, two women and five men; one man is in the drive-through window. The store sign is not visible but some of the employees in the photo have Dairy Queen logo shirts. Mayor Thomas S. Vathally is one of the men in the group portrait, he is cutting the ribbon in front of the drive-through lane with scissors. Another young man is standing on the right looking on.
