Birchbrow estate, Haverhill. Three story mansion, surrounded by trees and woods. Former residence of Thomas Sanders & son Nathaniel Saltonstall Howe Sanders. East side of house take from stables above. Designed by architect William R. Emerson. Inscription on verso: "Birchbrow 1908." Built 1880-81. Photographer embossed at bottom of mount: "McKeen / Haverhill / Mass." See also HS1.1 Senter HPH 35-475A. Photo is 13 x 18 cm mounted on card 26 x 31 cm. |
