Printed caption below: "Main Street Snow Scene / Looking from Arlington Street Down Main Street, Haverhill, Mass." Clipped and mounted below is the text: "Snow Scene, Main Street / The first house shown in this view on the left hand side below the First Baptist Church, Main Street, known as the Butters Home, was bought in the year 1843 by Robert G. Walker of Frederick P. Chase, a physician in Kingston, N.H. Robert G. Walker was the father of Mrs. Charles Butters. This house was moved 9 miles by a Mr. Joseph Bunker, with 24 yoke of oxen. The house was cut in halves, also the very large barn, making four trips to bring it to Haverhill, Mass." Two prints from an unidentified publication, one with photomechanical image of a photograph, 9 x 12 cm and 3 x 12 cm, mounted together on cardboard 26 x 36 cm.
