Rufus Chase House, 148 Main Street, Haverhill. Four stories including cupola, Victorian stick style architecture. Architect: C. Willis Damon. Tan clapboard with reddish brown awnings over the windows on first and second floors. Previously owned by the Knights of Columbus, later Dole & Childs Funeral Home (1932). Traffic on Main Street. On the right is 160 Main Street, American Legion Wilbur M. Comeau Post No. 4, blue clapboard or siding with white trim, columns to second floor at front entrance, cross gabled roof. Date on slide: May 76, number 6. |
