Highland Avenue at Arlington Street, Haverhill. Three story house, clapboard with mansard roof, portico, on the corner, view of front and left sides. A decorative trellis is on the left side of the house. The building behind it on the left may be the barn. Other houses on the right, left. Snow on the ground. Inscription on verso: "Corner Highland Ave, & Arlington St. / 1881 owned by Charles F. Morse / no barn / 1886 Sanborn map - 2 1/2 story French Roof dwelling barn etc. / Prior to Wilder Chase's house was built / house at corner evidently moved or remodelled." Photographer's inkstamp on verso: "E. P. Fowler / Photographer / Merrimack St. / Haverhill, Mass." Image probably circa 1880s. Photo is 11 x 16 cm mounted on card 11 x 17 cm. |
