Main Street, Rocks Village, looking west, Haverhill. Houses on the left and right, male pedestrian on the right. Inscription on verso: "Photo by Everett Sawyer, Merrimac (about 1890) / Lower right hand corner + up street / 1. John B. Nichols store / 2. [blank] / 3. Andrew D. Young house / 4. Stephen Noyes House built by Samuel Elliott on the site of the De Poyen house which was cut in half + moved - one half to Wharf Lane; the other half residence of Rufus K. Chase." Another copy notes it was taken in 1880. This is a later print. See glass negative HW2.10 Senter G5x7 9-20. Photo is 11 x 17 cm mounted on cardboard 26 x 36 cm. |
