City Hospital, Haverhill; a nurse in her living quarters. She has dark hair and is wearing her uniform and a cap; she is seated at a small table with books on it. The dresser and a mirror are on the left, the door behind her, and a washbasin on the right. Nurse is not identified. Typed label on left side of mount: "Nurse's Living Quarters." Inscription on verso: "Hale Hospital 1897." City Hospital was renamed Hale Hospital in 1898; in 1901 the new Hale Hospital was opened on Buttonwoods Avenue. See copy negative HN2 Senter F4x5 13-7. Photo is 14 x 20 cm mounted on cardboard 26 x 31 cm. |
