Description |
J. H. Sayward House, 38 Highland Avenue, Haverhill, 1919. Three stories, clapboard, turret on the left with bell roof. Hip roof with dormer window, cross gable facing the street. Front porch on the left of the entrance. Other houses in the background. Owned in 1940 by Henry L. Taylor who petitioned the City Council to turn it into apartments (rezoning denied). This is probably a later print. Inscription on verso: "G. W. W. Bartlett / 1919 / L. L. H. Taylor / Highland Ave. / (Formerly owned by J. H. Sayward)." There is also a J. H. Sayward House at 46 Highland Avenue. See glass negative Photo is 12 x 17 cm mounted on cardboard 24 x 27 cm. |
