Inscription on verso: "Enlarged by Walter R. Merryman from stereoscopic photo / View of Haverhill from Johnson house cor. Mt. Vernon St. & Highland Ave. looking south." Inscription on verso of a similar photo: "View from corner Highland Ave and Mt Vernon St." Negative of similar photo has note "View from Mt. Vernon St. near Highland Ave., Johnson's Observatory" [Johnson House]. Original probably circa late 1860s - early 1870s, this is a later print.
