First Church of Christ, Church Street, Bradford, Haverhill. Also known as the "White Church." Built 1848, designed by Richard Bond of Boston. Two stories, steeple tower with belfry and tall spire from gable roof, columns at entrance. View of front from Bradford Common, snow on the ground. Stone memorial with plaque on Bradford Common, first American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions, in front of the church. Deckle edge photograph with the words "Merry Christmas" in white in the left bottom corner. Inscription on verso: "- and a Happy New Year / Bill Dickens / First Church of Christ / Bradford." |
